Well that’s it for another year for these Geelong mechanics….!!

It’s hard to believe that another year has almost passed us by! We say it every year, but this year particularly seems to have gone incredibly fast. Perhaps that’s because it’s been a busy year. Our Geelong mechanics have certainly been busy, infact it would be interesting to note how many cars have come through the workshop over the last 12 months!

2017 has been another successful and enjoyable year at BJT. We have continued to service and maintain the cars of so many of our regular clients and we seem to have gained quite a few new clients this year too which is great. We’ve received some impressive feedback from some first time customers too. The most common thing we hear is they appreciate how professional we are, and how we keep them informed with what we have done and what needs to be done to their car. Here is some of what a recent new customer said “They were friendly, explained what they would do, kept me informed during the day of any changes required. When I went to pick up my vehicle they reviewed with me the things that they had done and any upcoming requirements”. This particular guy was absolutely rapt with our workshop and it made us feel good that he was so happy and we were able to meet his needs.

We had a few unique cars through the workshop during the year –

an impressive 68 HK Monaro that gained a lot of attention,
a supercharged HSV Maloo Ute
and a rather unusual 1926 Chevrolet that has been converted into a hearse to name a few.

It’s always good to have something different come through the door, keeps the boys interested that’s for sure!

We have enjoyed working with not only our customers, but all the suppliers that we use too. Geelong is fortunate to have many parts suppliers and other companies in the automotive industry that we rely on to carry out our work and we particularly appreciate the many times ‘we want something yesterday’ and they can deliver. Things don’t always go to plan when our Geelong mechanics are working on cars and we are often at the mercy of our suppliers so are grateful for their support.

As 2017 comes to a close we are looking forward to taking a break. Our mechanics very much deserve some time off and we are very appreciative of the great work they continually do for us. We have high standards and they meet them, and they’re pretty nice guys too! We’re lucky to have a great team behind us. We hope 2017 has been a successful year for you and we look forward to working with our current and new customers in 2018. Please don’t hesitate to contact us in the new year if we can help you!

BJT are a cut above the rest. The best experience we’ve had to date. All our family members, some friends and my work colleagues see Brett and Rachel and their team at BJT Automotive. We spent years using the services at a large dealership. BJT have been far superior in service, knowledge, advice and price. Brett leaves no stone unturned. Brett, Rachel and the entire BJT team - absolute professionals. I know the 4x4 is in safe hands. Nothing's ever overlooked and even the slightest issue is always bought to my attention for servicing at the time, or in the future. Must go over the car with a fine-tooth comb! Took my car here for its roadworthy check a while back now (Feb 2019) - I was new to the country with no knowledge of cars and after the rwc it was apparent I had bought a bit of a lemon. The mechanic was extremely patronising and condescending about the fact I had been duped into buying something I had been assured would pass the rwc easily. I then enquired about the next steps to get it roadworthy and was told just to take the paperwork to my mechanic and they would advise - obviously I didn’t have another mechanic otherwise I would have taken it there to begin with and clearly he just didn’t want to carry out the work. And lastly I was charged a higher price than originally quoted due to the car leaking oil on his workshop floor and making a mess - as an entirely mechanically ignorant customer I’m not sure it’s my responsibility to advise the mechanically experienced staff to plan for these kinds of possible issues.

Recently bought a 2013 Subaru and wanted to get it checked out so we had a baseline for servicing going forward. This was our first time using BJT and from setting up the appointment, to the communication once they had the car everything was first rate. Brett took the time on the phone to explain what he suggested needed to be done and then went back through the list in detail when we picked it up, car drives great and our Subie has a home to keep her going! We will definitely be using BJT going forward and have already booked an appointment for our VW.

Been using BJT since I had my first car at 18 years old (where dad took his cars). Have had them doing servicing, general repairs and RWC’s. Always found them to be up front and honest with any work that should be done but also let you know of anything that could break down in the future. Always get permission before completing any work that hasn’t been discussed. Would highly recommend BJT and there services to anyone! I’ve been using for over 10 years and they have always been awesome to deal with and do an amazing job!

Brett couldn't have been clearer in his advice when he serviced the car. Told me exactly what had been done that service, what to do between service intervals, and future maintenance.Getting into the car, it was vacuumed, no sign of the service inside the car - it was like brand new. We are super impressed with the service we received from Brett and the team at BJT. My vehicle has one more year under warranty, but we decided to get it serviced at BJT after reading the excellent reviews. Choosing BJT did not affect my warranty and the service was very thorough and professional.Brett's team picked up a tiny oil leak which he recommended getting checked under warranty at the dealership. This turned out to be the transfer assembly which will now be replaced under warranty at the dealership. The part costs around $3000 plus a full day's labour. Brett's careful attention to detail has saved us thousands of dollars.I would also like to note that Brett is very respectful to women. I went with my husband to pick up the car and Brett made sure to include me fully in all the explanations and decisions.We have no hesitation in recommending BJT and we won't be going anywhere else in future.
