We have the pleasure of servicing and maintaining this particular 1959 Ford Galaxy Ranch Wagon that belongs to Tuckers Funeral Service in Geelong. This is a rather unique vehicle as it has been converted into a hearse. The name ‘Galaxy’ was used for only the top models in Ford’s full size range from 1959 to 1961. Its V8 engine is petrol driven and it has an automatic column shift transmission. It is a part of the fleet of cars that we service for Tuckers, along with a 1926 Chevrolet which underwent hundreds of hours of restoration as it was originally manufactured as a horse drawn hearse.

Took my car here for its roadworthy check a while back now (Feb 2019) - I was new to the country with no knowledge of cars and after the rwc it was apparent I had bought a bit of a lemon. The mechanic was extremely patronising and condescending about the fact I had been duped into buying something I had been assured would pass the rwc easily. I then enquired about the next steps to get it roadworthy and was told just to take the paperwork to my mechanic and they would advise - obviously I didn’t have another mechanic otherwise I would have taken it there to begin with and clearly he just didn’t want to carry out the work. And lastly I was charged a higher price than originally quoted due to the car leaking oil on his workshop floor and making a mess - as an entirely mechanically ignorant customer I’m not sure it’s my responsibility to advise the mechanically experienced staff to plan for these kinds of possible issues.

Recently bought a 2013 Subaru and wanted to get it checked out so we had a baseline for servicing going forward. This was our first time using BJT and from setting up the appointment, to the communication once they had the car everything was first rate. Brett took the time on the phone to explain what he suggested needed to be done and then went back through the list in detail when we picked it up, car drives great and our Subie has a home to keep her going! We will definitely be using BJT going forward and have already booked an appointment for our VW.

Been using BJT since I had my first car at 18 years old (where dad took his cars). Have had them doing servicing, general repairs and RWC’s. Always found them to be up front and honest with any work that should be done but also let you know of anything that could break down in the future. Always get permission before completing any work that hasn’t been discussed. Would highly recommend BJT and there services to anyone! I’ve been using for over 10 years and they have always been awesome to deal with and do an amazing job!

Brett couldn't have been clearer in his advice when he serviced the car. Told me exactly what had been done that service, what to do between service intervals, and future maintenance.
Getting into the car, it was vacuumed, no sign of the service inside the car - it was like brand new.
You can tell that Brett and the team care deeply about doing a great job, and as a customer you can't help but be impressed and appreciate that!

We are super impressed with the service we received from Brett and the team at BJT. My vehicle has one more year under warranty, but we decided to get it serviced at BJT after reading the excellent reviews. Choosing BJT did not affect my warranty and the service was very thorough and professional.
Brett's team picked up a tiny oil leak which he recommended getting checked under warranty at the dealership. This turned out to be the transfer assembly which will now be replaced under warranty at the dealership. The part costs around $3000 plus a full day's labour. Brett's careful attention to detail has saved us thousands of dollars.
I would also like to note that Brett is very respectful to women. I went with my husband to pick up the car and Brett made sure to include me fully in all the explanations and decisions.
We have no hesitation in recommending BJT and we won't be going anywhere else in future.
